Fowler Named POMCO Medical Services Director

Cynthia Fowler recently joined POMCO Group as its director of Medical Services. Fowler oversees POMCO's staff of Utilization Review Coordinators and Case Managers. She is responsible for providing quality assessment and medical claims reviews on behalf of clients, while ensuring compliance with URAC standards of review. She also provides technical expertise to evaluate complex claims and appeals issues, and enhances POMCO's reporting and statistical analysis capabilities for clients. Fowler, who previously was manager of Medical Benefit Management Operations for Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, has more than 20 years experience in utilization review and quality assurance.
