The North Syracuse Central and Oswego City school districts both recently selected POMCO Group to provide medical benefits administration services to their employees and retirees.
POMCO began providing medical benefits and flex spending services to the Oswego City School District July 1. The school district has approximately 1,100 employees and retirees. North Syracuse Central Schools started receiving medical benefits services from POMCO Sept. 1. That school district has approximately 1,800 employees and retirees.
"We're excited that the North Syracuse and Oswego City schools have chosen us as their professional benefits partner," said Robert W. Pomfrey, POMCO president. "Self-funding has become an increasingly popular way for many medium- and large-sized organizations, including school districts, to help contain their medical benefits expenses, without sacrificing the level and quality of those benefits."
POMCO currently manages benefits for more than 35 schools and colleges.
