POMCO Case Manager Receives Certification

Debbie Cartner, a Registered Nurse case manager with POMCO, recently was awarded certification from the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC), a nationally-accredited organization supporting the case management industry.

Cartner earned this designation by receiving a passing score on the CCM examination, as well as meeting a series of rigorous industry standards, including:

- Meeting all CCMC acceptable standards of practice;
- Meeting the CCMC's Continuum of Care requirement;
- Holding an acceptable license based on a post-secondary degree program in a field that promotes the psychosocial or vocational well being of the persons being served;
- Effectively perform all the essential activities of case management covering case management concepts, principles and strategies; health care management and delivery; psychosocial and support systems; health care reimbursement; and vocational concepts and strategies.
