HIPAA Security Regulations

POMCO will assist clients with HIPAA Security Regulations. Our clients may receive a HIPAA Security manual that details the security requirements as it applies to the POMCO systems for the payment and processing of your claims. This manual can be obtained by contacting the Compliance Department. The HIPAA Security Compliance deadline was April 21, 2005. We will continue to update this website with HIPAA Security information.

HIPAA EDI Up-Date and Contingency Plan POMCO is HIPAA-compliant and can accept electronic claims (also known as the "837"). We will work with those clients that would also like to receive the 835 or any of the other HIPAA electronic transactions. POMCO embraces the concept of electronic transactions and will continue to work diligently to assist our providers so that they can become EDI compliant as soon as possible.
