POMCO Group is dedicated to the communities it serves and is proud to offer support in a variety of ways. POMCO Group aligns itself with charitable organizations that emphasize community-building, support the uplifting of children and promote the importance of education.
In an effort to provide funding to the numerous charitable organizations that benefit from support, POMCO Group provides support in two manners: long-term key partnerships, and short-term partnerships. Long-term partnerships are determined internally and have an indefinite period of time. Funding for short-term partnerships is reviewed on an annual basis and limited to no more than two years.
Please see below for information on submitting a request for a sponsorship or donation.
Long-Term Key Partnerships
Long-term key partnerships, in the form of sponsorships or donations, have been developed with organizations that emphasize community-building, support the uplifting of children and promote the importance of education. These key partnerships are not aligned with a deadline.
In addition to establishing partnerships with a variety of organizations and events supported by clients, POMCO Group currently has key partnerships with Say Yes to Education, The United Way, Signature Music and POMCO Group Presents Jazz in the City:
Say Yes to Education - Say Yes to Education offers City of Syracuse students the fundamental tools necessary to graduate from high school and gain entry to a college or university. Those students who successfully complete the Say Yes to Education curriculum and are accepted to a participating college or university will receive a scholarship to pay for their tuition.
POMCO Group has partnered with Say Yes to Education by creating a scholarship program for City of Syracuse students who are accepted to Syracuse University. In addition, POMCO Group has partnered with Say Yes to Education to establish volunteer programs for its employees.
The United Way - A national system of volunteers, contributors and local charities helping people in their own communities. Each year POMCO Group employees partner with the United Way to raise funds for charitable organizations of their choice. Last year POMCO Group employees raised money through a variety of innovative activities including a dunk tank where employees where dunked, carnival-style, into a pool of water. POMCO Group employees exceeded the previous year's contributions by more than 15%.
Signature Music - Signature Music teams with City of Syracuse students to offer them free instructional music lessons, along with the opportunity to participate in a week-long music summer camp, with the purpose of preparing students for a career in the field of music. POMCO Group's contributions have provided numerous scholarships to students to attend the program's music camp and have resulted in students' acceptance into collegiate music programs.
POMCO Group Presents Jazz in the City - POMCO Group Presents Jazz in the City is a free neighborhood concert series that brings jazz music to the four corners of Syracuse. In addition to being presenting sponsor of the event, whichdraws thousands of attendees, POMCO Group also serves as host for the Eastwood location of the concert series at its corporate headquarters.
